The WA Agricultural Research Collaboration (WAARC) is working with industry to build applied research programs focused on priority and emerging issues for Western Australia.

Current projects
Congratulations to three successful research applicants who have been selected as part of WAARC’s Polyphagous Shot-hole Borer Research Program to help address a critical biosecurity issue for Western Australian agriculture.
This project will begin to investigate how Aboriginal systems of knowledge can be understood and meaningfully and respectfully incorporated into local agricultural practices, using applied field research and case studies of Aboriginal/non-Aboriginal partnerships.
The SMART SPRAYS research team is testing the use of innovative, biodegradable polymer technology to improve water harvesting and water retention in cropping systems.
The Capacity Building and Extension program supports WAARC research programs and projects in extension planning for impact and evaluation planning, monitoring and reporting.
