Student Meets Industry Night 2026 - Ben, Jenny & Alysia

It was great to return for our second year at the Student Meets Industry Networking Night, hosted by The University of Western Australia’s Students of Natural and Agricultural Sciences (SNAGS UWA) on 20 April 2026. The evening was filled with engaging conversations, curiosity and career inspiration.

WA Agricultural Research Collaboration (WAARC) Capacity Building and Extension Program Lead Jenny Crisp, enjoyed connecting with students at the WAARC booth, discussing postgraduate research opportunities and catching up with industry colleagues.

There was strong interest in WAARC’s Round 3 Postgraduate Research Scholarship Program, with applications closing on 29 April. We look forward to seeing the innovative research ideas that may grow from these conversations.

A highlight this year was the headshot booth, offering attendees a valuable professional takeaway. Refreshments and raffle prizes contributed to a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere throughout the night.

Many thanks to the SNAGS UWA team for delivering a well-organised event and supporting more than 20 industry organisations involved.

WAARC is proud to support initiatives that help emerging researchers build meaningful connections across Western Australia’s natural and agricultural science sectors.
