WAARC backs a 2026 Churchill Fellow and opens a passport to global ag innovation
Where would you go – and what challenges or opportunities would you tackle for Western Australian agriculture – if you had eight weeks to pursue bold ideas around the world?
In 2026, the WA Agricultural Research Collaboration (WAARC) will make that journey possible by sponsoring a Churchill Fellowship, creating an opportunity designed to strengthen WA’s research capability and accelerate real-world impact across the agriculture and food sector.
The Fellowship will support one mid-career researcher, or someone passionate about WA agriculture, to explore international best practice and bring home knowledge, skills, and networks that can advance WA’s agricultural resilience, productivity and innovation.
Valued at about $35,000, the sponsorship forms part of WAARC’s broader commitment to capacity building, complementing our existing postgraduate scholarship initiatives and expanding our support for the next generation of research leaders.
