2027 Honours scholarships to support emerging researchers
Applications are now open for Round 2 of the WA Agricultural Research Collaboration (WAARC) and Grower Group Alliance (GGA) Honours Partnership Program, with six scholarships available for students to undertake applied agricultural research across Western Australia in 2027.
The new round builds on the program’s successful first year in 2026, which has seen Honours students work with grower groups on real-world industry priorities while building professional networks, gaining industry exposure and taking part in development opportunities beyond their university research.
For Murdoch University student Joel Tinetti, a Round 1 recipient, the experience has helped connect his individual research with a much broader agricultural research community.
“The WAARC-GGA Honours scholarship has connected me with people and industry networks that I may never have considered on my own,” Mr Tinetti said.
“I feel like I am no longer just doing my research but am connected to the wider research community.”
